During PAX East 2019, the Bethesda boss told the story of a package sent by a distressed Fallout 76 player with a box of hairpins to weigh.

"Some people send letters," Todd Howard, Bethesda's chief executive, told the panel. "Some are very creative. The other week, I received a box of hair clips that said "Weight".

"For whoever sent this, it was the most creative letter I received."

The letter refers to Fallout 76 who plays with stupid idiots with a hairpin weight. Unlike Fallout 4, the weight value of the hairpins is not zero in Fallout 76, but a person was a little carried away to Bethesda and gave each pin a value of 0.1. To put this in perspective with the rest of the elements of the game, 20 pins weighed the equivalent of a missile, while 60 of them were equivalent to a mini-nuke for the Fat Man thrower. .

Even if you have never used a hairpin, slipping a few of them into your hair does not result in a broken neck because gravity acts like magic on their tiny mass, which should be proof enough of his ridicule.

The issue was corrected in January, the update reducing the weight of the hairpins from 0.1 to 0.001, but it recovered in another update a few weeks later.

Last week, Bethesda introduced Survival mode to Fallout 76, bringing its PvP to "high stakes".

But it can be argued that this has just created the ideal storm for sorrows, Jeremy Peel calling it "the paradise of sorrow".
