Nebraska Athletics makes final preparations for the tour from Garth Brooks Stadium to Memorial Stadium on Saturday night. The following information is intended to help those attending the concert have a safe, fun and enjoyable day in Lincoln.
Health and Safety Precautions
Nebraska Athletics and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln have partnered with Lincoln, Lancaster County Health Department (LLCHD), since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Sports Department continued to be in regular communication with the LLCHD in preparation for the Garth Brooks concert and upcoming sports seasons.
The sports department has relied on the LLCHD, university leaders and the Big Ten conference office for health and safety advice and protocols while hosting events during the pandemic. Like many organizations in Lincoln and across the state, Nebraska Athletics has remained fluid and adjusted as necessary to promote the health and safety of our staff, student-athletes and the many fans who visit our facilities and attend our events. home.
The sports department continues to work with our partners to advise individuals on best practices and safety precautions to combat COVID-19 and emerging variants. These practices are in accordance with current guidelines from University management and LLCHD healthcare professionals.
Below is information to help fans have a safe and healthy experience during the Garth Brooks Stadium Tour concert.
• All people are encouraged to seek advice from their healthcare professionals regarding the benefits of immunization.
• As per LLCHD recommendations, Nebraska Athletics strongly encourages those attending and working at the Saturday Night concert to wear an appropriate face mask (covering nose and mouth) on campus and inside Memorial Stadium.
• Concession workers will be required to wear face coverings when actively selling food and drink products.
• Continue to adopt healthy habits:
o Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
o Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available
o Stay home when you are sick
o Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
Nebraska Athletics will have limited hand hygiene stations on site and will recommend that fans bring their own mini hand hygiene bottles to use as needed throughout the event. High traffic areas will be cleaned frequently and event workers will promote necessary health and safety advice.
Mobile ticketing
Fans should consult the following tips regarding their mobile tickets to ensure the most efficient entry process.
With SafeTix ™, your phone is your ticket
1. In the Ticketmaster app, log into your account and select your event
2. Hold tickets for others? Select the “Transfer” button and send them tickets directly so you can meet at your seats.
3. Add your ticket to your phone’s digital wallet, then just press and go to enter the door.
Tap and go is now available with Apple Wallet and soon available on Google Pay.
Advice on tickets for the day of the event:
• Check your tickets in advance and they are always ready in the app, even if WiFi is slow or unavailable.
• Now is the time to transfer all the tickets you hold for your friends and family. This will help everyone easily scan at the front door, explore the venue, and get to their seat quickly.
• Your phone is your ticket. Make sure the battery is fully charged before you leave for the night. As a reminder, screenshots and prints will not be accepted.

Urban traffic and transport
Fans attending Saturday night’s concert are encouraged to visit the City of Lincoln website at lincoln.ne.gov (research Garth Brooks) for information on the best routes to Memorial Stadium, road closures, and areas to avoid. The City will also hold a press conference on Thursday, August 12 at 10 a.m. to provide more details.
Car park
University car parks will open at 11 a.m. Options are available for prepaid parking and cashier parking. For more information on parking availability and parking maps, visit Huskers.com/gameday, click on the Garth Brooks tab, then parking information will be available in a drop-down menu.
Stadium entrance
The gates to the Memorial Stadium will open at 5 p.m. Fans are encouraged to enter the stadium early to ensure they are seated for the start of the concert around 7 p.m.
Fans must enter through the door indicated on their ticket. The scanners are configured to allow customers to enter only certain doors that match their seat location. Those seated in the South Stadium (sections 12-20) can ONLY enter gates 1, 2 or 24. Those seated at pitch level (AU sections) can ONLY enter gates 3, 15 or 24. Enter the gate printed on your ticket help make the entry process more efficient.
Construction affecting the paths leading to the stadium gates
Due to the ongoing construction of the installation project northeast of Memorial Stadium, fans will not be able to access the outer portion of the northeast corner of Memorial Stadium. The stadium will be accessible from the outside via a horseshoe from Gate 15 to Gate 18, but fans will not be able to walk directly outside the stadium in the northeast corner. Please plan your route to the stadium and your boarding gate based on this information. Signage will be visible and conveniently located outside the stadium in high traffic areas.
Transparent bags policy

Lounge corners
Court level will be limited to court level clients only, those seated at court level must stay at court level. Likewise, premium ticket holders (club or suite) will be limited to Suite and Club levels only.

Food and drink offerings will be accessible to all levels at Memorial Stadium. This includes sales of beer available at many locations in Memorial Stadium.
Nebraska Athletics asks all customers to drink responsibly and to ensure you hydrate properly, with high temperatures when doors open in the late afternoon.

Fans will be able to efficiently purchase concessions using cash from mobile vendors throughout the stadium.
