Roy Jones Jr. expressed doubts about entering the ring with Mike Tyson long before their exhibition match ended in a draw on Saturday, but apparently a brave soul decided it was smart to give a punch to the boxing legend after the fight.

Tyson was leaving Staples Center in Los Angeles when he stopped to sign autographs, and that’s when a man in the crowd allegedly started provoking a scene wanting to fight him, sources said at TMZ Sports.

According to the report, Tyson joked that it wouldn’t end well for him and that’s when the man in the crowd tried to punch the former undisputed world heavyweight. Tyson’s team immediately intervened but the man took off.

It is not known who this man was, but sources said the people of Tyson recognized him in a previous incident where he attempted something similar.

Police told TMZ Sports they received a call around 11 p.m. regarding a possible battery involving the boxing legend, but once at the scene both sides were already gone.
