The Boston Bruins hit Tuesday night's first game with the Toronto Maple Leafs and it was a goal that Frederik Andersen of Toronto would surely want to come back to, as that was the definition of soft.
He probably also wants the return of the second.
The seventh games of the NHL playoffs can be decided by the smallest of mistakes, as the two errors of Andersen, who was beaten on the Boston side by Joakim Nordstrom, the fourth-line left winger of Boston, to the first goal.
The Bruins then aggravated the situation for Andersen and the Maple Leafs a few minutes later by adding a second goal for a 2-0 lead.
But the first goal really allowed the Maples Leafs to compete in the seventh match:
It should have been stopped 100 times out of 100.
The fans were not impressed:
