ORLANDO, Florida – Universal Orlando Resort's Harry Potter-themed new roller coaster opened this week and visitors lined up for hours to browse it.
Hagrid's Magrid Creatures motorcycle adventure opened Thursday at the resort's Islands of Adventure Park. Waiting to board lasted more than five hours and even more hours at certain times of the day.
Fans started queuing before dawn.
Tyler Britt, who lives on the Space Coast in Florida, is one of those early fans. He tells Orlando Sentinel that the ride is "amazing".
The carousel opened late Friday morning because of its popularity the day before. The trip was made after midnight due to the number of people waiting. Universal officials said the late opening Friday allowed proper maintenance.
