The third installment of JK Rowling’s “Harry Potter” spin-off “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” has set a release date for April 15, the studio said on Wednesday. It’s Easter weekend next year for the photo, which now has a title: “Fantastic Beasts: Dumbledore’s Secrets”.
Warners takes the film forward from its previous July 15 location. Remember, all event titles on the Warner Bros. slate are purely theatrical next year, not the day and date on HBO Max. Warner Bros. had previously suspended Easter weekend for an untitled movie event.
Easter weekend has always been a dynamic time for Warner Bros. with box office debuts as notable as “Batman v. Superman” ($ 166 million), “Clash of the Titans” ($ 61.2 million). dollars), “Ready Player One” ($ 47 million) and most recently the film that brought moviegoers back from the pandemic, “Godzilla v. Kong” (which grossed $ 48 million over five days).
“Fantastic Beasts 3” will face off against DreamWorks Animation’s “The Bad Guys” via Universal, and Paramount’s Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum adventure film “The Lost City of D”. It’s not yet clear if these two studios will do anything cheeky and put both titles on stream and in theaters on the day and date.

Together, the two “Fantastic Beasts” films grossed $ 1.46 billion worldwide. In total, with the 7.7 billion dollars made by the “Harry Potter” franchise, the Rowling Wizarding Universe has nearly 9.2 billion dollars at the global box office.
In the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” series, Eddie Redmayne plays magizoologist Newt Scamander, a collector and tamer of mystical beasts, who weaves his way through the secret wizarding communities of New York, Paris and London to the late 1920s. Films also starred Katherine Waterston, Alison Sudol, Ezra Miller and Dan Fogler.
