Week 2 was full of injuries, but most don’t lead to waiver thread targets. Instead, the players to add are a combination of rookies who should have been on the rost from the start and veterans who have a bigger role than expected. The players to be eliminated are largely younger players who needed a few elements to get this season off to a good start, but so far nothing has gone well.

The buy-low five are all early-round draft picks that could see substantial gains the rest of the season. The top five sellers all scored touchdowns last week, but likely won’t see such a fantastic performance in the future.

FIVE PLAYERS TO ADD

1. QB Justin Fields, Chicago Bears

Andy Dalton left Week 2 with a bone contusion, allowing Fields to play in the second half. It’s unclear how long the former Cincinnati Bengal and Dallas Cowboy will miss out on, but Fields still has to be on the fantasy rosters in all formats. He owns fantastic potential among the top eight every time he becomes the starter. He ranks sixth among quarterbacks for ground attempts despite not yet playing a full NFL game. His fantastic points per drop rank in the first half of the league and are only expected to improve. Even if we find out that Dalton can play in Week 3, Fields should be picked whenever he becomes the starter.
