Far Cry 6 DLC announced with Stranger Things, Rambo and Danny Trejo

Right after announcing that Far cry 6 had officially gone gold before its October release, Ubisoft this week revealed plans for the game’s new DLC. We already knew from a previously released Season Pass trailer that the game would feature villains from previous Far Cry games. , but it looks like Ubisoft has a lot more than expected with Danny Trejo, Rambo, and Strange things all making appearances to some extent in the post-launch trailer.

This trailer can be seen below to give a general overview of all that’s planned for Far cry 6 after the game is released. Some of the content will be free while the DLC focuses on villains and Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon will all be locked behind the season pass.

When it comes to free content, the Big Three Crossovers will likely be what most gamers are looking forward to. The first of these has players who team up with Danny Trejo in the mission “Danny & Danny Against Everyone”. We don’t talk much about it beyond that, but Trejo is here and he has his machete with him, so there really doesn’t need much more to get excited about this crossover.

Beyond that, the other two crossovers consist of Rambo and Strange things content. The first sees an unbranded Rambo in “Rambo: All the Blood” working with the player in line with the game’s guerrilla fighter themes while the Strange things The crossover called “The Vanishing” has players looking for their Amigo, Chorizo, who lost somewhere in the Upside Down.

To keep things cool in the midst of these larger missions, players will also have other free content to look forward to. Special Ops will sometimes be released alongside Weekly Insurgencies to give players unique missions to take on.

And then there’s the big DLC: paid content featuring villains from Far Cry 3, Far Cry 4, and Far cry 5. “Insanity” features Vaas and launches in November, “Control” features Pagan Min and launches in January, and “Collapse” features Joseph Seed and launches in March. In each of these DLCs, players will see a very different setup used compared to the typical Far Cry experience. It’s a “die and try again” formula, Ubisoft said, where players have to start playing as villains with only a gun to their name. Defeating enemies and returning to a safe haven without dying allows the player to rearm themselves with new gear to prepare them for their next race.

Far cry 6 will launch on October 7, and DLC for the game is expected to begin immediately after.
