On February 10, Omar tweeted that congressional support for Israel was "the Benjamins, baby," referring to a 1997 rap song by Puff Daddy. When Batya Ungar-Sargon, newspaper editor of The Forward, asked Omar that she "thinks US politicians are pro-Israel," the congresswoman replied, "AIPAC!"
