The father of a missing 22-year-old woman is asking for help in locating his daughter, Gabby Petito, after she went missing on a trip across the country with her fiance in late August. Gabby’s father, Joe Petito, joined “Fox & Friends First” on Tuesday to say his family will not give up hope of reuniting with his daughter.
“We have to find Gabby. We have to get her home,” Petito said, urging anyone with information to call the hotline with information.
The converted white campervan that Petito was traveling in with his fiance, Brian Laundrie, was also picked up in North Port on Saturday night from the Laundrie parents’ home, according to the North Port Police Department.

“We currently have no definitive information that a crime has taken place here in North Port. That said, the circumstances are strange,” the North Port Police Department said Tuesday. “So we are actively pulling together the local details and all the evidence to help find the answers needed. “
Laundrie has not been named a suspect or person of interest in the case.
According to Petito, Gabby was in regular contact with friends and family, but the last time someone spoke to her on the phone was on August 25. Nicole Schmidt, Petito’s mother, said she received a text from her daughter on August 27 and August. 30.
Despite this communication, her mother is not sure if these text messages were actually from her since she did not speak to him on the phone.

Gabby and her fiancé began their road trip in early July and traveled from Florida to New York, then hit national parks in Utah, Colorado and elsewhere soon after. His last known location was in Wyoming, in Grand Teton National Park. Her fiance drove the van home, but Gabby was nowhere to be found.
“It’s a feeling you can’t describe. That’s the problem. You can empathize, I’m sure you can empathize, I’m sure you can understand how you feel, but you can’t. can’t describe how you feel unless you’re in it, unless you’re the parent, ”Petito said.
“You just can’t describe what this feeling is because you’ve never felt it before. I pray that no one will feel it again.”
Petito praised law enforcement for their help, saying, “They are beyond amazing. They have been very forthright in what they do.”
“Hope is something we’ve always had since we reported missing and we’re not going to lose it.”
