Fauci reflects on comments on Christmas cancellation after backlash

Dr. Anthony Fauci said his comments about the safety of getting together for Christmas had been “misrepresented”.

It comes after Fauci said on Sunday it would be “too early to tell” if people can come together for Christmas amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“I am going to spend Christmas with my family. I encourage people, especially vaccinated people who are protected, to have a normal good Christmas with their family,” he said on Monday.

Biden’s senior medical adviser was not referring to the possibility of rallies but rather to the general state of the pandemic in December, Fauci said on Monday.
