Beyonce records "Brown Skin Girl" with Blue Ivy

The documentary includes scenes from an interview conducted by Beyoncé to promote The Lion King where she explains why it was important for her to participate in the film. She explains that while growing up, the film provided a safe space for parents and their children to watch a movie together. She wanted to share the same experience she had with her own children.
The series includes footage of Beyoncé working one-on-one with her seven-year-old daughter Blue Ivy to record the song "Brown Skin Girl" in the soundtrack. The song celebrates the beauty of African American skin and it is clear that she wrote it thinking about her daughters.
More recent images show Blue Ivy performing the song "MOOD 4 EVA" in costume and choreography, imitating her famous mother.
Blue Ivy gives us a fashion lesson
Beyoncé has carefully selected designers who will be working on the Blue Ivy costume for the annual Wearable Art Gala by Tina Knowles-Lawson. The theme of this year's gala was "A Journey to the Countries of Pride", inspired by The Lion King to restart.
Blue Ivy wore an asymmetrical dress with yellow patterns and a matching headdress. The dazzling assembly was custom made. She loved the dress so much that she gave the camera a breakdown of her unique piece.
"This dress comes from Kenya," she begins. In showing the headdress, she explains that the circular shape with the matching crown represents "the circle of life", which is one of the poignant messages of the film.
