The FBI made its first arrest on Tuesday of a North Carolina resident involved in the U.S. Capitol riot.
Christopher Spencer, of Pilot Mountain, has been charged with knowingly entering or remaining in any building or restricted land without legal authorization, violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds and obstruction of justice.
Officers said Spencer was taken into custody in Kernersville without incident.
He made his first appearance in Greensboro.
