New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed the raid on the headquarters of the Sergeants Benevolent Association in Lower Manhattan during a press conference on a separate topic Tuesday morning.
“All I have been told is that the FBI raided the SBA headquarters and that it is as part of an ongoing investigation, but we have no further details on this. subject at the moment, ”said de Blasio.

Andrew Quinn, an attorney representing the SBA, made no comment when contacted by CNN.
An FBI spokesperson said the FBI was “leading law enforcement action in connection with an ongoing investigation” but would not comment further.
A spokesperson for the US attorney’s office in Manhattan declined to comment.
Port Washington Police Chief Robert Del Muro said the FBI typically informs local police departments of raids in their jurisdictions, but the police department has not been notified.
“We did not participate or know that his house had been searched,” Del Muro said.
CNN has reached out to the FBI to comment on Chief Del Muro’s statement that he was not told about the raid.
