The agency doesn’t just want advice and information, it also asks for photos or videos.
“The FBI is looking for information that will help identify individuals who actively incite violence in Washington, DC,” he said on its website.
“The FBI accepts hints and digital media describing riots and violence in and around the US Capitol in Washington, DC on January 6, 2021.”
Some of those who participated have already come forward or have since been identified by CNN and other news outlets.
