Towards the end of Sunday Fear the walking dead midseason finale, we were treated to the strangest views – and that really does mean something, considering that already in the episode we had gotten a look at Dr. Moreau’s extra-spooky walker art. Strand looked at Morgan and Alicia, and neither party was ready to back down. The point of contention? As with so much in Season 6, the place person all roads lead to: Dakota. And from there, things only got worse. Read on and I’ll explain how.
‘YOU ARE A CAST OF SISTER LOVE’ | At the start of “Damage From the Inside,” a convoy of Rangers surrounding Dakota was attacked, which gave her the perfect opportunity to try to escape Virginia once again. vice kiss. When Strand realized his boss’s sister had turned AWOL, he desperately spoke to Alicia for help. And when she finished pouting about her being fired by her friend, she agreed – but not to help Victor in any way, she explained to Charlie, to see if whoever was hitting the convoy could help him. their get away from Virginia. As Alicia and Charlie approached what looked like a hunting lodge, they were greeted by extra-gnarled walkers, one of which, I swear, was designed to look like the creature from the Black Lagoon.
“ If I gave birth to someone, I would go there ” | As Charlie stood guard outside Alicia walked into a house that could have been decorated by Norman Bates, there were so many taxidermy wildlife around. (Shudder.) After spotting a guy whose name we would soon learn, Ed figuring out how best to affix antlers to a walker in Ranger gear, Alicia found herself knocked out by the same guy. When she woke up, he explained that the revamped walkers were designed to scare people. As if single walkers weren’t scary enough. Already at the lodge, Dakota was as happy as a clam, listening to old records, sharing family secrets (Virginia killed their parents) and playing chess with Ed, even though he had written alien danger all over him.
‘NO QUESTIONS ASKED’ | Making an excuse to escape for a moment, Alicia discovered that Charlie had made his way inside. And she had brought valuable information: while Alicia was out cold, Ed had climbed aboard as if he was about to shoot a remake of Night of the Living Dead. After Charlie went into hiding, Alicia was caught snooping around and told Ed that Dakota was Ginny’s sister, so he had to let them go… or, you know, something else. As you wish, he replied. They could leave in the morning. Alone with Alicia, Dakota agreed to leave… but not back to Lawton. No problem, Alicia assured him. She had something else on her mind. Later, Alicia quietly requisitioned Ed’s radio to offer Ginny a trade: her and Charlie freedom for Dakota. It might have worked too if Ed hadn’t been a mad hatter …
‘I RENDS THEM, ALL MY CREATIONS’ | That night, Ed set up his outdoor stereo to lure all the walkers he’d woken up to the lodge. (Really they should have been called strollers because they didn’t seem in a rush to walk a way.) Uh, why was Ed doing that? He was making the place safe, he said. He was protecting Alicia and Dakota like he couldn’t protect his late wife and daughter from Ginny’s Rangers. After Charlie came to the rescue, knocking Ed out with the same medicine he had used to put Alicia to sleep, he quickly woke up (oh – the teenager had missed a vein). In the ensuing brawl, Ed ended up being impaled on a wood. But since it was not really so mean, he would give young women time to escape. Oh, and something else, he said to Alicia. The Rangers hadn’t actually killed his family, he was a walker he had worked on. “I created them,” said Dr. Frankenstein, “but I couldn’t control them.”
‘IT DOESN’T WORK IF IT’S NOT ALL OF US’ | As the walkers walked through the front door, Ed served them like crazy. Then, oddly enough, they started to stray. What…? Oooh, they were drawn to the bright lights and the sound of Morgan’s arrival. (These people are insanely good at being in the middle of nowhere, aren’t they?) Needless to say, Alicia was shocked – and thrilled – to see her old friend. In the morning she revealed to Charlie that she was going to take him to the stadium and hopefully clean it up. Was she really going to return Dakota? Hmm. Morgan wanted to use Ginny’s sister to trade for her people. Not very heroic, he knew, but “we’re all going to have to do things we never would have done before.” Just then Alicia realized that he was the one who killed the Dakota convoy. Yikes!
“Which side are you on?” | Morgan had given the Rangers an option, he insisted to Alicia. But they had chosen Ginny. He hadn’t blown up Tank Town, however, and didn’t know who had. Stumbling, Alicia informed him that she couldn’t get their group together, not in her own way. So he vowed to “do whatever it takes to get us all” to their new home – even Dakota. On leaving, they were confronted with Strand, which led to the strangest sites mentioned above. The guns were fired, the pulses raced, but in the end, Victor let his (old?) Friends go with warning (he wouldn’t be able to protect them) after warning (they were ruining everything) . Back in Lawton, Strand not only fulfilled Ginny but pledged allegiance to her. As a result, she revealed to him what “the big show” was: she had locked up a pregnant Grace – and now wanted everyone. other du Gulch brought him too. If Morgan wanted to play hardball, she would play… uh… Stronger Ball.
