Best Nintendo Switch Racing Games

While the Nintendo Switch may lack the brutal treatment of Xbox One and PS4, fans of the racing genre are well served on the hybrid console, with a catalog of more and more fantastic runners. The big advantage of running on the Switch is that you can do it on the go. Try it on your next Uber trip; it's so much more immersive!

To help you master all these outings, we have put together the best examples of the kind – in no particular order – as well as our verdict to avoid you thinking outside the box (unless you want it, course). The following games have different facets of the genre and are worth the trip if you need a quick repair for your Switch.

To avoid any growl, note that the race type (or driving) is wide, and that games such as Mario Kart are obviously very different in nature from Gear.Club Unlimited. Some games on our list include motorcycles, some have a downward perspective and some are fights – from the blue-shelled baseball bat – but the goal of reaching a finish line as quickly as possible is common to all.

Later this year, we can expect Team Sonic Racing, Team Racing Crash with nitro fuel and GRID Autosport on Switch, so there is still plenty to do for race fans in the future.

Gear.Club Unlimited (Switch)Gear.Club Unlimited (Switch)

Editor: Microïdes / developer: Eden Games

Release date: November 21, 2017 (United States) / December 1, 2017 (UK / EU)

Gear.Club Unlimited is an entertaining racing game that is resolutely outside the realistic spectrum of runners. It can be a thrilling immediate experience, especially while on the go, where you can walk one of its extensive courses in just about one minute. Although it's not a game without flaws, you can probably get it pretty cheap now and we prefer the first installment to Gear.Club Unlimited 2, which we felt was a step back in the series.

A nice little collection, you would not say? You think you forgot one? As always, let us know in the comments.
