McAllister attacked journalist Yashar Ali after he commented on one of his tweets, who shared an anecdote about her marriage.

In one subsequent tweet and more profane, she also hinted that her sexuality was due to the fact that he was "lost" and "does not know his human purpose".

McAllister removed many of the offending tweets on Sunday and apologized.

"I apologize to Yasher [sic] Ali for reacting in the same way as me to an alleged attack on my family, "she told The Post in a statement.

This is the second time in recent days that McAllister announces his comments. Last week, she helped trigger a minor frenzy on the internet when she criticized "The View," calling it "a round table of delusional mental dwarves that ricochet ignorance and lack of emotional regulation."

In the early hours of Sunday, Ali responded McCallister's attacks on Twitter, saying, "I've always been proud of who I am."
