Federer-Nadal is profiled as "Big 3" in the semi-final

Djokovic is looking for his fifth Wimbledon title and 17th Grand Slam trophy. He tied Boris Becker, Arthur Gore and Herbert Lawford for the third time in his ninth semifinal history here.

Federer, who has a total score of 100-12 at Wimbledon, was beaten in his first service match but did not have much difficulty afterwards, beating Kei Nishikori (8th), 4-6, 6-1, 6-4, 6. -4.

In the semifinal, Federer will face Nadal, who ousted Sam Querrey 7-5, 6-2, 6-2.

This will be the first Nadal-Federer match at Wimbledon since their epic final of 2008 – won by Nadal in a five-set thriller that took 4 hours and 48 minutes to play (male final record).

The 21st seed, Goffin, started well against Djokovic in Court Court on a wet and sunny afternoon but not too hot, with a temperature in the mid 70's.

Hoping to reach his first major semifinal, Goffin won three of the first four points that lasted at least 10 shots. He won the most recent clay duo meeting in 2017, and it looked a bit like a competition on that slower surface as well.

Goffin was able to hang up at the baseline and his shots in reverse were framed. He broke up 4-3 after 33 minutes, then ran to the sidelines with a raised fist.

"He dictated the game from the baseline," Djokovic said afterwards. "Most of the rallies went as he wished."

Djokovic, who became the fourth Open player to play 70 games at Wimbledon, did exactly what Goffin did to so many opponents on so many surfaces and tournaments: he takes his best shot , deal with and then wear them.
