Federal authorities have indicted university coaches and others, including actresses Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin, in a corruption case surrounding federal court charges on Tuesday.

The racketeering conspiracy charges were unveiled Tuesday against elite school coaches, including the University of Wake Forest, Georgetown and the University of Southern California.

Authorities say that coaches have accepted bribes in exchange for the admission of students as athletes, regardless of their abilities.

according to NBC News, citing court documents, the actress "Desperate Housewives" and the star of "Full House", Loughlin, are among those charged in the program of college exams. They are accused of conspiracy to commit postal fraud and mail fraud related to honest services.

According to ABC News, actresses and executives are among the 50 people arrested in a cheating scam of admissions nationwide.

Prosecutors claim that parents paid $ 25 million from an admissions consultant from 2011 to February 2019 to entice coaches and administrators to tag their kids as recruited athletes to increase their odds of 39, enter the schools.

Prosecutors allege that fake sports profiles have also been designed to make students look like high-level athletes while they are not.

Authorities say the consulting firm has also corrupted college entrance exam administrators to allow a Florida man to take the tests on behalf of the students or replace their answers with his own.
