Fernando Tatis did not hesitate by winning his best 42nd circuit of the season in the National League on Thursday night.
The San Diego Padres star went all out – and sent his ball completely out of Dodger Stadium.
Tatis, early in the fifth inning Thursday night in Los Angeles, took a two-point shot that bounced off the roof of the left field clubhouse and into the parking lot at Dodger Stadium. In total, the homer traveled a wild distance of 467 feet.
The circuit was the first to come out of Dodger Stadium since Giancarlo Stanton did so in 2015 with the Miami Marlins,.
Tatis now has 42 circuits over the season, the best in the National League. However, he sits fifth in Major League Baseball and six behind Kansas City Royals wide receiver Salvador Perez, who leads with 48.
While he doesn’t claim the league title and the Padres are already out of the playoffs, Thursday night’s shooting is still a great way to wrap up a season.
