David Lynch's Festival of Disruption concerts in New York have been canceled, according to a message posted on the festival's website. The scheduled May 17-18 shows at Brooklyn Steel will no longer occur, while a projection of Mulholland Drive at the Music Hall of Williamsburg will be held as scheduled on May 18th.
Garbage, Wye Oak, and Phoebe Bridgers were among the artists that were to occur. The festival cited "circumstances beyond our control" for the cancellation and promised refunds.
"If you have purchased a 3-event pass, you will receive a refund of the price of the two shows, plus the cost on your credit card statement, within 7 to 10 business days," says the statement. "Your original ticket for the screening will remain valid at the Music Hall of Williamsburg.We sincerely appreciate the generous and generous artists who have volunteered their time and talent.We thank you also for the purchase of your tickets and for your enthusiasm in support of charity.All ticket buyers will be entered into a lottery to win a host of articles signed by David Lynch, including a Eraserhead movie poster, the vinyl record of the soundtrack of Twin Peaks: The return and his book Catch the big fish. "
Refunds are available to fans through the point of sale and refunds of AXS.com and AXS phone orders will automatically be processed.
