Fiat Chrysler withdraws its merger offer for Renault

PARIS – Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV has withdrawn its proposed merger with Renault SA after the alliance partner of the French car manufacturer, Nissan Motor Co., refused to support the transaction, according to people close to the case.
