Fight the hordes in World War Z on Nintendo Switch this November

The World War Z release date for Nintendo Switch finally seems to be around the corner. A new listing for the game has been spotted on Nintendo eShop, showing the game’s release date in just a few months. First announced in April 2020, this could be the end of an incredibly long journey for Switch owners.

The World War Z eShop listing says the game will launch on November 2, just over two months away. World War Z: Aftermath, the current generation update to the game, launches on September 21. This could mean that additional content from the Aftermath update will be included in the Switch version of the game at launch.

At the time of writing, Saber Interactive has not said anything about the release date or price of the Switch port. However, the Nintendo eShop states that the price of the game is £ 35.99 in the UK, which is equivalent to $ 50 in the US. Currently, the game is only listed in European and Australian Nintendo eShop stores. Both listings indicate that the size of the game is 6.6 GB.

World War Z is a cooperative zombie shooter set in the cinematic universe of the film of the same name. Players battle hordes of zombies that pounce on players in all kinds of ways as they attempt to infect them. Without a word from Saber Interactive, all of that could change again. However, it seems likely that the Switch version will launch shortly after the game’s last update to bring all World War Z fans up to date with the latest content.
