The Washington Capitals continued their encouraging win in San Jose with a draw against the Anaheim Ducks a few days later. The Caps dropped 5-2 at the Ducks and have an immediate chance to bounce back tonight in Los Angeles.

The Ducks surpassed Caps 39-25.

• Alex Ovechkin scored his 40th goal of the season and this is the tenth time in his career that he has achieved this feat. Only three other players in the history of the NHL have recorded as many seasons of 40 goals. They are Marcel Dionne (ten), Mario Lemieux (10) and Wayne Gretzky (12). At least Ovi is always great.
• The Caps were beaten to five against five in all three periods of this match.
