Square Enix released an extended nearly six-minute trailer focused on improvements for Final Fantasy 7: Remake Intergrade and its PS5 version. The video discusses the game’s many graphical improvements as well as quality of life features. Final fantasy 7: Remake Intergrade will see a complete visual improvement over last year’s game, designed specifically for the PlayStation 5. The first half of the new trailer focuses on improvements like fog, lightning, and texture effects.
In addition to the graphics enhancements, players can switch between a graphics mode or a performance mode in settings. The graphics setting will offer 4K resolutions, while the performance setting prioritizes 60 frames per second over graphics fidelity.
Players can also experience the game with the new normal (classic) difficulty, which involves more frequent pauses for commands in combat. The new difficulty will be a step up from the Classic mode in the launch version, which was only available in Easy difficulty.
The video also features improved load times and a photo mode, allowing players to explore the world and quickly snap great shots of bosses or Midgard himself.
Towards the end, players get a bit more Yuffie gameplay, where the ninja and his companion, Sonon, battle a giant drill boss. Players got a brief glimpse into the fight in the original Yuffie trailer.
Square Enix announced Final Fantasy 7: Remake Intergrade in February, during Sony’s last inventory. Intergrade is a new episode where players can venture through Midgard as Yuffie, a playable party member in the original Final Fantasy 7 which normally only appears after the heroes leave Midgard. The Intergrade The update will launch alongside the PS5 version of the game, which is a free upgrade for players who have purchased Final Fantasy 7: Remake.
Notably, fans who pick up Final Fantasy 7: Remake PlayStation Plus in March will not be eligible for the free upgrade.
