Of course, Yoshi P is talking about the recently revealed PS5 edition, which took priority. As well as all the potential graphics improvements on PC, which Square Enix adds with each expansion release.

I reached out to Square Enix and Microsoft last year to see how the discussions were going, and both offered a strong “no comment” on the situation. Now at least we have some idea of ​​why the partnership might not be happening after all. It’s been working and shutting down since 2016: it would be nice to see it finally fixed at some point.
