Square Enix has announced the release date of Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.4 during the current letter from producer Live Part LXI. Additionally, we took a look at a new trailer for the major update.

After defeating Elidibus and securing the fate of the First, the Scions return to Home. However, what awaits in the new future remains to be seen. In Final Fantasy XIV Patch 5.4, we will also see the conclusion of the Edens Verse raid. Ryne and his counterpart Gaia have restored the balance to the Void, but the story seems far from over.
In case you missed it, we’ll also have a new “Castrum Marinum” trial in patch 5.4. The recent victories of the Warrior of Light have led to the discovery of information about Project Weapon. It is essentially the Final Fantasy XIV emerald weapon version of Final Fantasy XIV. However, in FFXIV, it will appear as a Warmachine codenamed “Emerald”.
