Final Report on Eagles vs. Vs. Washington: good news for Philadelphia

[ad_1]

The Philadelphia Eagles announced their third and final official injury report on Friday before their first-week match against Washington.

The big news is that it seems that the Eagles will have their main players who seemed to be in danger of missing Sunday's game. These players include Brandon Brooks (!), Right Guard, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, and defenseman Derek Barnett. The three guys were full participants in Friday's practice and they are not listed as dubious so they should play. This is good news for the Eagles. It is also surprising that Brooks is ready to leave less than nine months after suffering an Achilles tendon injury in mid-January.

It's also good news that recovery players like Fletcher Cox, Ronald Darby, Nigel Bradham and Rodney McLeod have not even been the subject of the injury report this week. Now, we'll see if these guys (and the other trio above) are fully effective on Sunday. And we will also see if the Eagles manage their playing time. For the moment, however, it is good to know that the team is almost full.

Kamu Grugier-Hill, Nate Sudfeld and Jordan Mailata are not surprised. None of them has been practicing this week.

Grugier-Hill is expected to miss a few more weeks as he recovers from his 3rd year MCL sprain. His absence probably means that Zach Brown will see a lot of playing time alongside Nigel Bradham.

Sudfeld might be missing for a few weeks while he is recovering from his wrist injury. Josh McCown will be the only healthy quarterback behind Carson Wentz.

Mailata is not likely to be active even when he is in good health and his injury does not change much. Mailata is always from week to week but it seems to be moving forward a bit.

WASHINGTON REDSKINS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)

Trent Williams has still not reported to Washington, so it will be Donald Penn, 36, leaving the tackle left. Penn signed with Washington only on July 31. The presence of Penn allows Washington to keep the old Giants Bust Ereck Flowers under surveillance, which seems to be happening!

Washington has ruled out two players: Colt McCoy and Fabian Moreau.

McCoy's absence means rookie Dwayne Haskins is the newcomer behind quarterback Case Keenum.

The absence of Moreau night Washington cornerback. It also means that the Eagles' opponent will rely on seventh-round rookie Jimmy Moreland as their first choice. Moreland had a good off season, but that should not stop the Eagles from trying to test him while he's lining up against Nelson Agholor in the slot.

Jordan Reed is one of three Washington players deemed doubtful. The tight end was restricted to practice all week. Reed has not yet been allowed to make contact, but the situation could change Sunday at 13:00.

Defensive linemen Cassanova McKinzy and Caleb Brantley are questionable but they were full-fledged on Friday, which bodes well for them.
