Maybe Tom Brady’s move to Tampa Bay as the face of the Buccaneers wasn’t what he thought it would be. And maybe that feeling is mutual on the part of Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians, according to rumors revealed by Dan Graziano.
“There are a lot of theories, obviously it was supposed to work better than that, but one of them is that there is real tension,” Graziano said during an appearance on ‘Get Up’ d. ‘ESPN earlier this week. “Bruce Arians and Tom Brady just met, it’s almost like the Arians were watching some kind of movie star action hero and then met him in person and said, ‘I thought you’d be taller. . ‘”
Now, things aren’t exactly that bad for the Bucs. At 7-4, they’re currently in the NFC playoff mix as the sixth-best team in the conference, but they’ve struggled against the best in the conference, with two losses to the Saints and a Monday night loss to Los Angeles. Rams earlier this week. That loss to the Rams also featured two ugly interceptions from Brady, along with other criticism from the Arians following the loss.
“I think [Brady]The Arians said on Tuesday. “It could be the cause of some inaccurate balls, but I don’t see it at all in practice. We don’t miss the deep ball in practice, that’s for sure. It’s just a matter of Sunday hitting them.
(Deep ball misses have undoubtedly become a problem, with Brady only completing one of his last 19 attempts from at least 20 yards.)
The Arians also went with the passive-aggressive ‘you better ask him’ when asked about Brady’s second interception.
It’s not what you think you would say about the quarterback who has all the answers on the test, but according to Graziano it can come with unsatisfied Arians given the whole squad is catering to Brady’s needs.
The Bucs added LeSean McCoy and Leonard Fournette, brought Rob Gronkowski out of retirement, and even brought Antonio Brown to Tampa Bay after his suspension. The latest addition is particularly noteworthy, as the Arians have repeatedly rejected the idea of bringing Brown to Tampa given his experience with him in Pittsburgh.
In other words, the Arians probably want something better than a 7-4 record and losses to the best in the NFC.
“If you’re Arians you look, you say, ‘This is what you wanted, we got you everything you asked for, why don’t you deliver, why it doesn’t seem in practice” “Relayed Graziano. “And I think you see some frustration coming to the surface.”
The Bucs will look to return to the winning column on Sunday against defending champions Chiefs.
