Find out why Ted Cruz skipped town during major crisis was “a huge mistake”

Supporters of Ted Cruz are trying to justify his act of disappearance, claiming the senator could do nothing to help Texas in times of crisis. But Miles Taylor, former head of homeland security, disagrees. “It’s a huge mistake,” he says of Ted Cruz who traveled to Cancun as things got tough for millions of people in Texas.

“When Ted gets re-elected, that will be the central question. This guy would rather spend his vacation in Mexico when people are dying than be there to handle the response.”

Although the senators are not part of the “structure managing the response,” Taylor explains in this clip from the Meidas Touch podcast why Cruz running for the hills, uh, the beach “is going to haunt him until he is re-elected.” And why, “right now, Beto O’Rourke looks like the real Texan, and Ted Cruz looks like a lazy man.”
