“Fortunately, no one was seriously injured,” she wrote. “We were safely evacuated from the building thanks to the prompt response of the Atoka Fire and Police Department.”

McEntire, her boyfriend Rex Linn and other members of her team were on the second floor when two stairs fell in the downtown building being renovated, an official said.

“The historic staircase between the second and third floors collapsed, and when it collapsed, it collapsed onto the staircase from the second to the first floor,” said Travis Mullins, director of the emergency management from Atoka, to KTEN, a subsidiary of NBC.

There was no way for the seven people to get out of the building, until firefighters arrived to bring everyone to safety with a ladder.
