First look at Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop reportedly revealed

Kate Bishop is pretty popular these days, as besides being the new character to come in Marvel’s growing video game empire, she’s also heading to Disney + in the new. Hawk Eye series. The character will be played in the series by Hailee Steinfeld, and fans can’t wait to see Steinfeld in action as a beloved character. Now they have their wish, although it is admittedly a very small preview, and it comes from a video taken on the set of Hawkeye from the Brooklyn subway. The video was taken by Edward Baker, and you can see it in the video above (via Murphy’s Multiverse).

As you can see, the video features Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye walking down the stairs with a woman believed to be Hailee Steinfeld, especially as she is holding Lucky the Pizza Dog’s leash. Baker confirmed it was Steinfeld in the video, as she was seen on set during the day.

We don’t know what this particular scene connects to, but we’re just excited to see Steinfeld as Bishop, as it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios yet for some reason. Rumor has it that Steinfeld was ready for the role, but Marvel never said it one way or another. It looks like all issues with this deal have been resolved, and it looks like she’s busy working to bring the fan favorite to the MCU.

The Hawkeye series has been teased as a passing of the torch from Renner’s Hawkeye to Steinfeld’s Bishop, who will presumably be the arrow thrower in the MCU for the foreseeable future. We imagine that at some point Marvel could play with a Young Avengers series, but it’s also possible that she will transfer full time to the Avengers after that series ends. We’ll just have to wait and see how it all plays out.

Hawkeye currently doesn’t have a release date, but is expected to arrive in 2021, especially if he wraps up filming at the end of this year or early next.
