Peacock has released the first trailer for his Punky brewster rebirth, with Punky (Soleil Moon Frye) now navigating the life of a single mother.

A sequel to the iconic ’80s sitcom about a brilliant young girl raised by a foster father, Punky is now a single mother of three who tries to get her life back on track when she meets Izzy (Quinn Copeland), a young girl in foster care. system that reminds Punky a lot of his youth.

The original multi-camera series was created by David W. Duclon and premiered in 1984, aired for four seasons, two on NBC, the rest in syndication.
