Will this help with the removal of “WandaVision”?
Marvel Studios is set to launch its second live-action TV series next week, and the first reactions to The Falcon and the Winter Soldier are in it. This six-episode series was originally supposed to be the first Marvel Studios show to air on Disney +, but COVID-19 delays caused a bit of a switcheroo, and it started with the deliciously trippy. WandaVision instead.
Like WandaVision, this series takes place following Avengers: Endgame, but it focuses on the characters of Sam Wilson (Anthony mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian stan) because they are forced to team up in an action comedy-type story with friends. The series will feature the return of Daniel Brühl‘s Baron Zemo and Emily VanCampby Sharon Carter, both of whom have appeared in Captain America: Civil War, and also Wyatt russell like John F. Walker.
Malcolm Spellman Serves as a seasoned TV showrunner and director Kari skogland directs all six episodes, and the first reactions are quite positive – albeit slightly apprehensive. These reactions are only for the first episode, so while there is praise to be found, most seem to agree that the first episode is just the start of a longer story and therefore difficult to judge for itself. .
I saw the first episode of FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER. So far, so good? Hard to say after an episode, but I’m a huge fan of Falcon so I’m glad this exists. There’s also a character that shows up that’s a definite moment, “Ohhhh, so that’s what this show is about.”

The first episode of Falcon and The Winter Soldier looks a lot like a Marvel movie, a lot more than Wandavision (not a hit). The opening action screen looks like a huge MCU action sequence (not a TV fight), the story seems to have a big impact on the MCU.

Indeed, it looks like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier looks a lot more like an MCU movie extended into a TV series than it does WandaVision done, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.
The first episode of THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER is exactly what you think it will be, but it’s not a bad thing. If you love this world and love these characters, you will love this. That’s exactly what was announced: no more Marvel, but now in the form of a TV show.

The six-hour run also means that yes, we’re getting a lot more character development for these two fan favorites.
Oh hey I guess I can say I saw the first episode of #FalconAndWinterSoldier? Probably more character development for these 2 characters in those 45 minutes than the previous 10 movies. Large-scale with beautiful “what does it really feel like to be a superhero” moments. I’m in.

And while the emphasis is on action sequences, the series apparently takes time to dig into the trauma and baggage of its central characters.

I watched the first episode of #TheFalconAndWinterSoldier & it’s solid. Definitely darker and more dramatic at first than I expected (which is a good thing), but also features some of the best Falcon action we’ve ever seen. Good mix of fighting and history. Contrary to WandaVision, looks like this show really goes back to the deep roots of the MCU.
