The Nash County Sheriff's Office has issued a warrant arresting Rexford Lynn Keel Jr., 57, accusing him of first degree murder. The man of this man, 38-year-old Diana Alejandra Keel, was reported missing on 9 March. She was found dead three days later about 30 miles from her home. Rexford Lynn Keel was the last person to see his wife alive, the police said.

After an autopsy on Wednesday, police said the death of Diana Alejandra Keel was treated as a homicide.

Police on Tuesday questioned Keel's husband, Rexford, said Major Mist Strickland of the Nash County Sheriff's Office. At that time, he had not been charged with the death of his wife and was released.

The police now say she does not know where Rexford Keel is, but he may be operating a 1998 Chevy pickup with BBM-9232 license plates, possibly pewter or gold.

The death of the first wife of the suspect was also the subject of an investigation

Investigators are also looking into the death of Keel's first wife, Elizabeth Edward Keel, who died in 2006 in the same house as Keel lives today, according to a statement from the sheriff's office.

The death of 2006 was at the time deemed an accident by the forensic pathologist's office, the Nash County Sheriff's Office announced. An autopsy revealed that she had died after falling and hitting her forehead at the corner of concrete steps in front of the house. Strickland told CNN that detectives were working with the FBI and other local agencies to investigate the deaths of the two women.
