Fisher-Price Warns Parents About Sleeper Rock & N Play After 10 Infant Deaths

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a warning about the Fisher-Price Rock 'Play sleeper, a popular article for new parents and their babies. The warning asks consumers to stop using Rock 'n Play if their baby is able to turn around because of the death of many infants.

Babies were all three months old or older and rolled from their backs to the stomach without being tied, according to the warning. According to the CPSC, 10 newborn deaths in the "Rock Play" have occurred since 2015, the latest one having occurred last month.

As deaths continue to occur, CPSC recommends that consumers stop using Rock 'n Play as early as three months of age or as soon as the baby has reversal capabilities. Parents should always use restraints when a baby is in a bunk or inclined swing.

Patty Davis, spokesperson for the CPSC, said the commission is currently investigating the product. "If it turns out that this has to be remembered, we'll go ahead with that," Davis told CNN.
