Apple today filed five new iPad model IDs with the Eurasian Economic Commission.

These devices are registered under iPadOS 13, which means that Apple intends to market its products in the fall, alongside the final versions of the iPadOS software.

The new models have been seen for the first time by MySmartPrice. 9to5Mac confirmed that the entries appeared in the database in the last hours.

The new model numbers are A2197, A2228, A2068, A2198 and A2230.

Obviously, Apple has already released a new iPad mini and iPad Air 10.5 inches this year.

This leaves the iPad Pro and the successor of the entry-level iPad at $ 329 as candidates for an update. We expect the 9.7-inch iPad will soon be replaced by a new 10.2-inch model.

A Chinese media reported in the media earlier this week that the 10.2-inch iPad was coming into mass production later in July.

As the iPad Pro has undergone such a radical overhaul with the 2018 revision, we expected a punctual update, if not zero. At one point, Apple was reluctant to ignore the holiday season and launch new iPads in the spring of 2020 with 5G mobile data connectivity.

The fact that these deposits are already showing a launch in the coming months, although it is possible that these five model identifiers represent only multiple variants of the iPad 10.2 inches (storage size, WiFi only , Cellular SKU + WiFi).

The Eurasian Commission's database has been a good overview of many Apple hardware launches in recent years. The aforementioned iPad mini and iPad Air 2019 were spotted in the database in January, two months before their release (by surprise). The model identifiers for what we believe represent the configurations of the iPhone 11 appeared in May.

iPadOS will be available in the fall, as all major updates to Apple's software platform. iPadOS brings new multitasking features, important updates to the Files app, a modified home screen with a pinned widget column, a redesigned markup interface, support for the second MacOS display feature Catalina Sidecar, new text editing functions, etc.
