After years of jokes, Razer will make his own toaster. The April Fools joke of 2016 has now come full circle: Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan has announced his intention to achieve this goal through fan demand.

The idea for a Razer brand toaster was born in 2013, when the Facebook page "Give us the Razer toaster" was created. Later in 2016, Razer decided to use this idea for the "Project Breadwinner" as part of an April Fool's joke. Razer's CEO, Min-Liang Tan, then challenged toaster fans: a million likes on the Facebook page and the toaster will be made. To make things easier, every Razer Toaster tattoo would count for 100,000 tastes in the goal. Up to now, 44,000 people have liked the page and 12 people have accepted and got the tattoo.

On his Facebook page, the CEO of Razer confirmed that, thanks to the dedication of fans, he would now build a team of designers and engineers to give life to the toaster, even if it will take a few years.

The Breadwinner project was featured with USB ports at the front and the possibility of branding toast with the Razer logo. Nowadays, the RGB has completely taken over, which could give Razer Chroma some form.

KitGuru says: Razer has always had dedicated fans, but to think they managed to convince the CEO to give the green light to a toaster remains staggering. I think this version will be limited upon arrival, but I'm sure Razer is not looking to stay in the toaster market for an extended period.
