Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie sold her catalog of 115 tracks to Hipgnosis, the fast-growing music company that has spent more than $ 2 billion in three years to acquire the rights to a large number of popular songs.

McVie is the fourth of five band members to close such a deal in the past nine months, and the second to accompany Hipgnosis, after singer-songwriter Mac Lindsey Buckingham closes the sale of 100% of his rights edition to the company in January. Stevie Nicks, the band’s other major singer and songwriter, struck a massive $ 100 million deal with Primary Wave late last year, and drummer-co-founder Mick Fleetwood struck one. with BMG including a variety of rights in January.

According to the announcement, Hipgnosis has acquired McVie’s copyright, ownership and worldwide financial interests, including the writer’s share, in all related compositions and rights. The deal also includes her pre-Fleetwood Mac work with British band Chicken Shack and solo material, including her 1969 debut, “Christine Perfect”. Hipgnosis has acquired catalogs including Neil Young, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Shakira, Barry Manilow and many successful songwriters and producers.

McVie was represented by Colony Group Commercial Director Paul Glass, Director Martin Wyatt and Lawyer Mario González.
