The Florida authorities are looking for a driver who they say would have happily hit someone with a car after letting him pass.
The 23 February interaction between driver and pedestrian in Oakland Park, Florida, was recorded and shared by the Broward Sheriff's Office in a press release issued Wednesday. The incident occurred around 8 pm. in a parking lot of the Publix supermarket, the authorities said.
The video shows a vehicle as it "stops allowing a pedestrian to walk in front of his car," said the sheriff's office.

"When the victim has finished crossing the vehicle, the driver accelerates and heads in the direction of the victim," according to the press release.
The video then shows the individual on the ground. The vehicle then fled, the sheriff's office said. The encounter left the individual with a broken leg, according to the authorities.
"The driver's actions are bizarre, cruel and reckless. These are also aggravated batteries, "said the sheriff's office.

The driver was also filmed while traveling to the store shortly before the meeting in the parking lot, authorities said.
The driver is "a man with a fair complexion and fair complexion" who has brown hair, a very narrow brown beard and at the time wore a red hat and t-shirt, khaki shorts and black sneakers, announced the sheriff's office.
