Florida coronavirus vaccine eligibility drops to those 40 and older on Monday

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Florida – COVID-19 vaccine eligibility increases, with another drop in age taking effect on Monday.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made the long-awaited announcement on Thursday, marking the end of days of patchwork eligibility rules that varied by site.

“All adults in the state 18 and older will be eligible for the vaccine on Monday, April 5,” DeSantis said earlier this week.
