BRADENTON, Florida. (AP) – A Florida fisherman who dragged a live shark with a boat will spend five weekends in jail.

According to the Associated Press, a video made in 2017 shows that Robert Benac was dragging the animal at high speed, injuring the shark.

Other videos have been found showing Benac and Michael Wenzel filming a shark and pouring alcohol into the throat of live fish.

Benac pleaded guilty to cruelty to animals. Wenzel accepted a similar call.

Benac will also pay a $ 2,500 fine, work 250 hours in an animal shelter, and lose his fishing license for three years.
