A Florida golfer drowned in a pond while searching for a lost golf ball, authorities said.
Hermilo Jazmines’ body was pulled by divers on Sunday from an Oldsmar country club pond, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office.
MPs said Jazmines, 74, was last seen golfing just after 7:30 a.m. with a friend.
Witnesses told authorities he went to get his ball near hole three.
His golf cart was discovered still parked on the path, as his putter lay near the pond, authorities said.
Investigators said they believed Jazmines fell into the water and drowned.
Authorities said his death did not appear suspicious, but an autopsy was ordered.
