in a series of text messages.

"I would like to break a world record for the longest confirmed murder of all time," said one of the posts, in part, according to the sheriff's office.

The detectives shared this video showing their bodies stopping Wix.

In total, the sheriff's office shared five messages they would have sent to Wix detailing his plans.

  • "A school is a weak target, I would be more likely to open fire on a large crowd of people over 5 km, I would like to break a world record for the longest confirmed murder of all time."
  • "I want to open fire on a large crowd of more than 3 miles before I die and I need an observer (emoji, laughing face crying)"
  • "What you want to do after the fact is your own business. If you want to plan your escape, we can work on it. But I do not intend to leave alive unless I see it well. "
  • "But a good hundred victims would be good. I already have a place (angry emoji) is this so serious?
  • "Well even if you tell someone, me saying I want to do it and I think it's not the same thing as actually doing it lol. Hope a little that someone comes into my life who is worth not doing, for the sake of all these people (laughing with tears in their eyes, emoji). I'm not crazy, I just want to die and I want to have fun doing it, but I'm the most patient person in the world. "

After his arrest, the sheriff's office says that Wix told them that he had no firearms but was fascinated by the mass shootings.

The sheriff's office announced Friday that he was about to obtain a search warrant for the Wix residence. It is not known at this time if this research was done or not.

Wix remains at the prison of Volusia County Management, where he is detained without bail.
