JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Acts of goodness generally go without recognition, but a man from the region has become viral for his good deeds.

Alec Sprague, a Jacksonville resident, told News4Jax that he had gone to Costco, near Collins Road, to buy a generator. He saw a man buy more than 100.

The man, who was not named, bought the generators and food to send to the Bahamas.

Sprague said the generators cost about $ 450 each. He posted a post on Facebook.

"Collins had just received a generator (at $ 450 each) from Cosco, who here buys more than 100 generators and food to send to the Bahamas!" the post office said. "All I could do was shake his hand and thank him! There are still good people in the world!"

The position was shared 17,000 times in three hours.

News4Jax learned that this was possible thanks to the "Errol Thurston Hurricane Relief Fund of the Bahamas".
