A Florida teacher found herself out of a job after a rant in a classroom full of students in which she blamed Antifa for the Capitol riots.
The unidentified replacement was caught on camera by a Bok Academy student who later posted the collapse on the @knowyourracists Instagram account. According to the director of the Lake Wales School, Dr. Damien Moses, she was kicked out of the school system, TMZ reported.
The message began: “Teach the children that Antifa broke into the Capitol. … She was a substitute teacher in the language arts class at the college. She was fired from the Lake Wales Charter School System.
“She just started talking about it randomly in 1st period, it was a language arts class and we were just about to work when she started talking about the Capitol raid,” the post continued.
In the video, the woman can be heard fully blaming the violent siege of a federal building on Antifa, saying: “Partisans have come and suddenly there was violence. Already, three of them have been identified as members of Antifa. ”
The teacher stacked up, adding that “this is just another example of a persistent problem in which Antifa is being paid to participate in peaceful protests and stir up violence so that Trump supporters look wrong”.
A courageous student spoke up, suggesting otherwise, and the teacher retorted, “No. In fact, there is a video showing Trump supporters trying to stop people from smashing windows. Anyone can put on a MAGA hat. When they’re paid to be there and cause a riot, they want it to look like Trump supporters, so they wear Trump hats and wear Trump flags.
Towards the end of the video, the teacher says “I’m telling you the facts” to which one student replied, “This is only your opinion.”
“We met her and she was fired not only from our school but also from the Lake Wales Charter School system,” Moses, director of Bok Academy, told TMZ.
Meanwhile, a parent at the school told local NBC 8 that he believed the school acted quickly and appropriately.
“My opinion is not to have politics at school,” Walter Hughes, who lives in Lake Wales, told the station. “As for firing someone for discussing how they feel, I think that’s a little tough. I think maybe a suspension, some free time.
