Two Florida women aged 34 and 44 disguised as “grannies” – wearing hats and gloves – in an unsuccessful attempt to pass also old to be eligible for coronavirus bites, according to local media.
WFTV, an ABC affiliate television station in Orlando, reported that the two had valid vaccine cards after they had their first shots, but were denied the second.
He quoted Orange County health official Dr Raul Pino as saying: “I don’t know how they escaped. [detection] for the first time, but they came with the gloves, the glasses, everything, and they’re probably in their twenties.
Their actual age was later revealed, a WFTV reporter said. According to the station, the two women were turned over to the police. Officers said they were asked to issue intrusion warnings and no further action was taken.
Dr Raul Pino, head of health for Orange County, told us that they have tightened security at the @OCCC vaccination site on this and others who have tried different approaches to getting vaccinated. He says both girls had valid cards from their first shots, but they were held up for their IDs. @WFTV
