WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The lawyers of former National Security adviser to President Donald Trump, Michael Flynn, on Tuesday urged a judge to postpone his conviction in a case following an investigation into a possible collusion between Trump and Russia during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The lawyers have asked Judge Emmet Sullivan for a 90-day delay, while Flynn may need to strengthen his cooperation in the investigation conducted in Russia by the special advocate Robert Mueller.

The request was made in a joint filing with Mueller, who stated that he had not taken a position on Flynn's claim for delay.
