Focals smart glasses put Google Fit data on your face

With the integration of Google Fit, users will now be able to view activity statistics directly on smart glass lenses. To sync your smart glasses with Google Fit, simply download the app from the iOS app or the Google Play store. You can then select "Capabilities" on your Focals app and sign in to Google Fit. You will see daily and weekly progress charts, including moving minutes and heart points, which are Google's settings for tracking dynamic and moderate activity.

The integration of Google Slides is definitely a futuristic benefit for those whose work requires them to make presentations on a regular basis. You can view all speaker notes using smart glasses and switch from one slide to the other using the control ring. Users only need to download the Focals Connect Chrome extension, and they will be ready to go.

And for Android users only, the glasses will now track the time spent on the screen and the digital health status. Users will be able to see how long they have been wearing smart glasses per day and, therefore, how much time they have saved. Although exchanging one device for another seems to defeat the purpose of these digital health indicators.

When the Focals smart glasses were launched for the first time last year, we applauded its smooth appearance, but we wondered about its practicality. Since Google Fit and Google Slides can sync with your smartwatch and smartphone, you have to wonder if integrating these apps with your smart glasses would be a lot of use – if at all – in your day-to-day life.
